Taking Cask Storage to a Whole New Level
At Campbeltown Bond, we are proudly transforming the historic Gaydon Hangar at Machrihanish Airbase into a world-class, fully-racked bonded warehouse—raising the standard for whisky cask storage in Scotland.
This ambitious conversion project will create a state-of-the-art bonded warehouse with the capacity to store up to 37,500 whisky casks. Key enhancements include:
- Five 1,000 square metre purpose built ATEX cask maturation cells.
- Modern ventilation system dispensing the fresh Atlantic sea air to every inch of the warehouse.
- A bespoke steel racking structure designed specifically for whisky casks
- Automated cask movement infrastructure/system creating less disturbance to the spirit and rapid task response times.
- Cutting-edge cask maturation software – Vapour.

We support full ownership of your casks, with private accounts warmly welcomed. Upon transfer, a Delivery Order will be issued, confirming that the casks are held securely in your name.
We offer a fast, reliable service with complete transparency. Whether you need a regauge, sampling or a viewing of your casks, our team is ready to respond promptly to your requests.
Thanks to our state-of-the-art racking system, accessing your casks is quick and efficient. In most cases, we only need to move between 8 and 16 casks to reach yours—minimising disruption and ensuring a fast service.
Your casks are safeguarded with 24-hour CCTV security, providing constant protection and complete peace of mind. Our facility is fully insured, secure and designed with safety as a top priority. Through our cutting-edge ‘Vapour’ software platform, you can log in to your account at anytime to view the exact location and status of your casks—offering full transparency and control at your fingertips.
