His Majesty The King visits Campbeltown!

The Campbeltown Bond team had an incredible time last week discussing all things whisky with His Majesty The King.

Fergus Wallace, Managing Director of Campbeltown Bond, and James Crone, Warehouse Manager, were honoured to meet His Majesty during his visit to Campbeltown, Scotland.

As His Royal Highness approached the Campbeltown Bond stand, his first words after spotting the pop-up display were, “So this is the old Gaydon Hangar then.” It was immediately clear he had visited the airbase before and had a genuine familiarity with the site.

Fergus confirmed it was indeed the Gaydon Hangar and shared details of the exciting developments underway, most notably, the installation of our state-of-the-art automated racking system.

His Majesty showed genuine interest in the project and the broader transformation of the site and regeneration of Campbeltown. As a gesture of appreciation, our award-winning Secret Series 32 year old Islay release was presented to His Majesty, via his aide.

It was a true honour to showcase the progress at Campbeltown Bond to His Majesty The King. We can’t wait to hear what he thinks of our Secret Series 32 year old Islay, reputedly from his favourite distillery.
